I agree with this because I think that it is true. I think that a lot of people have to do a lot of evil in order to do good sometimes, and sometimes the end result is so good that it is okay that the evil thing happened. I also think that sometimes the evil thing is a mistake made by a person and that would be okay because everyone makes mistakes.

An example of this would be if someone had kidnapped another person and in order to save the person who had been kidnapped then the kidnapper would have to be killed. This is an awful thing because of someone dying, which is the kidnapper, but someone ended up dying which is a really bad thing. Still, in the end something good happened because the person kidnapped was saved. So, sometimes evil must be done in order for good to come out of it.

All around the world men and women commit terrible acts and all of the acts are on the news. Only the acts of what the person did are on the news and then the news makes the people who did the acts sound terrible. What they don't show on the news is what happens after. Nobody knows why that person wanted or needed to do the act. I'm not saying that the person is a great person for doing the act but sometimes people need closure on something, even though they could use a more civilized way of just talking and forgiving the person.

List at least three specific examples of dark imagery that appear throughout Macbeth.  In what scenes do these images appear?  What else is happening in these scenes?  Explain why Shakespeare uses so much dark imagery in the play.  With that blend in the following: how does modern day film incorporate similar imagery and purpose?  You could evaluate a Disney movie, comedy, cartoon, etc.  Try to stay away from Horror movies because that seems too easy.
One example of dark imagery is in Act 2 Scenes 3-4 when Duncan is murdered by Macbeth, even though the guards of Duncan are convinced that they are the ones who murdered Duncan. In this scene Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth to kill Duncan, so Macbeth gets Duncan's guards drunk While the guards are drunk Macbeth kills Duncan. Macbeth is so terrified and shaken up about murdering Duncan that he returns back to Lady Macbeth with the knife that killed Duncan still in his hands. Lady Macbeth then has to be the one who must smear the blood on the guards and put the knife near them to make them seem like they were the ones who murdered Duncan.      Another example of dark imagery is when Banquo is killed. Banquo is stabbed in the face a bunch of times so that he doesn't look like himself again. The third example is when Macduffs family is murdered. First a messenger comes in to warn Lady Macduff that he saw some people coming. After that the messenger leaves but it is too late and Lady Macduff has no time to run. The murderers come in and kill Lady Macduffs son, and then the son yells to Lady Macduff to run before she gets killed.     Shakespeare uses dark imagery to create a different mood while these scenes are happening. Shakespeare probably wanted to make the audience or readers feel sad that so many people are dying and he wants the audience to feel upset that one of the good characters have died. Modern day film incorporate similar imagery so that it can make the audience watching the film get close and favor a character, and then kill off the character. This would make the audience sad and create a different kind of mood about the film.

How does Power corrupt some people and not others?  What qualities must a person have in order to be the "hero" even though they have the power to be the "villain?"  Think of real life examples either in the news or in your life and draw a comparison between that and what is happening in Macbeth

Power corrupts some people who don't know how to handle it and are greedy. It will corrupt them if they are not careful with how they use their power. Other people who have a lot of power will be wise enough to know how to use it. For example the president has a lot of power, and if he used the power that he had for wrong ways like making taxes extremely expensive so people couldn't pay them so that he could just have the money for himself then that would be an abuse of power and very bad.
Some qualities that someone must have in order to be a hero even if they have power to be a villain is they need to not be wise and kind. If anyone has enough power to become a villain then they have enough power to become a good hero. Anyone can become a hero whether if they are the President of the United States with a lot of power or if they are just a kid trying to stop a bully from someone bullying another person in school.
Someone who abused power was in the horrible tragedy of 9/11. All the people that were involved in that had a lot of power, and they didn't have to kill all those people but they knew they had the power to be able to but instead they decided to do it. Macbeth is similar with this because he had the power to not kill Duncan and Banquo but instead he did because he wanted even more power.

Macbeth and Banquo seem to know each other pretty well and get along together well. Some qualities that friends need to stay friends forever are that they need to get along together and have common interests. They need to have common interests because if they did not then they would not have anything to talk about or to do anything together because they would not know what to do because they don't have anything that they want to do together.
I guess my ultimate best friend would be my twin because we have to spend a lot of time together. She is the first person I see everyday. I see her in the morning when I brush my teeth, during breakfast, I see her when we drive to school, I see her every single class of the day because we have all the same classes together, I see her during lunch, I see her during tennis class, and then I see her during dinner. So, we spend a lot of time together and some people might think that I would get annoyed with her or not want to be her twin anymore but she can be really nice sometimes.
My twin does have the qualities to be one of my best friends for my entire life because we have a lot of similar interests like tennis. Even though I will be doing soccer this year and she wont she told me that she will be at my games to cheer me on. I know that we will be life long friends because we have already decided that we will be going to the same college together I decided that I want to live in a different state than her but we will of course talk to each other and meet up once in awhile when we are adults.
